Class Descriptions
We have something for everyone.
Afterglow
This mixed-levels vinyasa class is inspired by the Ashtanga-based “Rocket Yoga” practice taught at AstaYoga, our host studio — but transformed into a gentle candlelight flow. New students will be welcomed to the group and invited to warm up with a partner (or two).
Connecting breath with movement, we then begin our sequence with Sun Salutations, followed by standing postures, balancing postures, seated postures, supine postures, backbends, and inversions. Everything is optional, and modifications are encouraged.
Beginners will be thrilled they can do it. Seasoned practitioners will find the practice consistent, rigorous and fulfilling. (But with fewer jump-throughs! Whew!)

Slow Flow (+ Yin Yoga)
Slow Flow is just what it sounds like. In this Hatha Yoga practice, we start with a gentle warmup, then move together through a series of postures at a slow and relaxed pace, with a focus on alignment, navigating pain, and injury prevention. The sequence will vary depending on the needs of the class and the whims of the instructor.
Yin Yoga
Sometimes we slow down even more and enter into the world of Yin Yoga. Have a conversation with gravity. After a gentle Slow Flow warmup, you’ll be guided into restorative postures that you will hold for longer periods of time, allowing gravity to work on the connective tissues and even the bones. Blocks and bolsters will prop you up. Still your mind. Leave feeling restored.

Soma Yoga
Soma Yoga is a practice grounded in both somatic movement exercises and yoga asanas. Soma Yoga emphasizes a mind-body connection through play and self-exploration while connecting with others in a supportive environment.
The naked aspect of this practice reveals a deep sensuality that directly influences our approach. Our focus will be on finding and cultivating both ease and pleasure as we move through the yoga asanas and somatic pathways. It’s an invitation to listen without judgement and follow what feels good for you in our kinesthetic exploration.
Acceptance, compassion, and ahimsa (non-violence) will also be our guiding tenets as we practice together.
